Umtata

Umtata is a small town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, and was formerly the capital of the Transkei bantustan. The town was founded in 1869 by its first Chief Constable, Richard Calverley. The Calverley family arrived as part of the British immigration plan with the 1820 Settlers in Port Elizabeth.
