The University of Salerno (Italian: Università degli Studi di Salerno) is a university in Salerno, Italy. It developed out of the Schola Medica Salernitana which had been one of the main beacons of scholarship in medieval Europe. Today, the University enrolls approximately 60,000 students[1].
