Vestlandet

Vestlandet is the geographical region of the Atlantic coast of southern Norway. It consists of the counties Rogaland, Hordaland Sogn og Fjordane and Møre og Romsdal. The largest city is Bergen, second largest is Stavanger. This region is one of the wettest in Europe, with average precipitation in Bergen reaching 2250 mm. In the mountains near the coast, precipitation is considerably higher. This region has a milder winter climate than other parts of Norway, with rain being more common than snow in the winter.
