Villa Crespo

Villa Crespo is a middle-class neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, located in the geographical centre of the city. It has a population of approximately. 100,000 people.

Villa Crespo is traditionally vinculated to Jewish community, but like the rest of Buenos Aires, is a mix of different people. Its traditional football (soccer) club is Club Atlético Atlanta.

Until the 1980s, it had a clothing commercial centre in Scalabrini Ortiz Avenue (previously named Canning), actually not important. Some leather clothes stores are located in the area, and on Warnes Avenue there are a lot of autopart stores.

There are some important people born or raised in this neigbourhood like Leopoldo Marechal, writer, and Osvaldo Pugliese, tango musician.
