The World Methodist Council is a group composed of most of the world's Wesleyan / Methodist denominations, working toward mission and unity. The Council was founded in 1881. The headquarters is in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.

Programs and Conferences

The World Methodist Council maintains the World Methodist Museum, runs a ministerial exchange program, oversees the World Methodist Prayer Team, and awards the World Methodist Peace Award. The Council also sponsors the World Methodist Conference every five years. The next conference will be held in Seoul, Korea, July 18 and July 19 2006.
