WrestleMania VI

From Freepedia

WrestleMania VI was the sixth pay-per-view event, and the first WrestleMania to be held outside of the U.S. Its venue was the SkyDome in Toronto, Canada, on April 1, 1990. Attendance was 67,678. It is considered by some to be the end of the pro wrestling boom of the 1980's, as Hulk Hogan, without a doubt the main reason for the boom, "passed the torch" to the Ultimate Warrior in the main event. Afterwards, the WWF started to have a decline in popularity that wouldn't stop until Stone Cold Steve Austin ushered in the Attitude Era in 1998.

WrestleMania VI was subtitled The Ultimate Challenge, which was also the name given to the main event between Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior, who were the two most popular wrestlers in the WWF at the time. The match was for both the WWF Championship (which was held by Hogan), and the Intercontinental Championship (which was held by Warrior), and was billed as "Champion Vs. Champion".
