Various strategies for overcoming Writer's Block
- Freewrite! Set a time and write whatever comes to your mind, without stopping, for that period of time.
- Use writer's exercises. There are many websites that contain numerous creative writing exercises. The Screenwriter's Toolkit is a good example of this for screenwriters. Read an exercise, and make yourself do it.
- Take a break. Meditate. Do something to releive any pressure on you and your writing.
- Do something out of your ordinary. If your writer's block comes from a lack of new ideas, spark your creativity by taking a risk in your life.
